Elopement Wedding in the Dolomites
Alina and Eugene love spending time together in nature, especially enjoying rock climbing, hiking, or via Ferrata. An elopement wedding in the Dolomites offered them an incredible backdrop for unique wedding photos in Italy and the perfect starting point for their honeymoon in the mountains.

At the beginning of July, we met the couple at their hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo, where Viki Hair and Makeup styled Alina for the elopement wedding in the Dolomites.

Eugene had also prepared a great outfit, and while Alina’s makeup was being perfected, he got ready on the balcony, enjoying the stunning mountain views.

Alina’s pearl-embellished wedding dress was the perfect outfit for the elopement wedding in the Dolomites. The pearls reflected the sunlight in all directions, making not only the bride but also her dress shine.

First Look at the Elopement Wedding in the Dolomites
Once both were ready, it was time for the first look. Surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery, Alina and Eugene stood before each other as bride and groom for the first time. The radiant smiles on their faces showed how much they were looking forward to this day and how special this elopement wedding in the Dolomites was for them, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes and nature they love so much.

Our first location of the day was a viewpoint in Tre Cime National Park. After a short hike, we reached a hill with an incredible view of the rugged rock formations of the Cadini di Misurina peaks. Of course, a photo on the famous rock ledge was a must.

Self-Written Vows
After the photoshoot in the Dolomites, the highlight of the day was upon the couple. Surrounded by these striking mountains, they read their self-written vows to each other. You could feel that their words came from the heart, showing their deep love and how meaningful this step in their elopement wedding in the Dolomites was to them.

On the way back to the starting point, we paused for a cozy picnic with a view of the Tre Cime.

Elopement Photos at Lago di Braies
The second location of the day was a stunning mountain lake. This spot has become very well-known in the Dolomites, but by evening, most tourists were already on their way home, allowing us to enjoy a few peaceful moments on the turquoise water. The small wooden boats make Lago di Braies even more idyllic if that’s possible. The rocky mountain peaks surrounding the lake create a unique and simply beautiful setting.

Even though you’re not alone here, it’s worth stopping at Lake Braies during an elopement wedding in the Dolomites. The view more than makes up for sharing the space with other visitors. And for those seeking more privacy, renting the boathouse exclusively in the early morning is possible.

To crown the day, we continued after the boat ride to a mountain pass, where we were treated to a breathtaking sunset view.
On the way, Alina told us that cows are her favorite animals, so we spontaneously decided to make a short stop for some photos with the cows.

A brief hike through fields full of blooming Alpine roses led us to a fantastic viewpoint, the last location of this elopement wedding in the Dolomites.

Their loved ones had written letters for Alina and Eugene to read on their wedding day. Here, amid the mountains, surrounded by Alpine roses and the golden evening light, was the perfect moment to read these messages.

First Dance at the Elopement Wedding in the Dolomites
The next highlight of the elopement wedding in the Dolomites was the couple’s first dance. They had even choreographed a special dance, and the setting for this romantic moment couldn’t have been more beautiful.

Sunset Photoshoot in the Dolomites
We ended the day with a sunset photoshoot before slowly returning to the car.

We couldn’t have imagined this day any more perfect. The blooming fields, the striking mountains, the golden sunset, and the turquoise water sparkling in the evening light offered countless dreamlike backdrops for this special elopement wedding in the Dolomites. Alina and Eugene’s radiant smiles throughout the day showed just how right their decision was to celebrate their wedding day here.

With their many mountain passes, the Dolomites are perfect for anyone looking for locations in the mountains that are easily accessible. And for those seeking more adventure, there are countless tours for every skill level. The incredible rock formations and clear mountain lakes define the unique landscape in this region, and we’re always thrilled when we get to show couples our favorite spots in the Italian mountains.
