Engagement Photos in the Mountains
After her proposal during her trip through Austria, it was clear Sheena wanted to have this special moment captured with beautiful engagement photos in the mountains. Shortly after, we met with the young couple from Canada to make this dream a reality.
We were so excited when they chose a breathtaking location with a stunning view of the Hochkönig massif. Even during the hike to the actual spot for their mountain engagement photos, we were treated to magnificent views along the way.
Shortly before reaching the summit, we made a stop at a small pond that perfectly mirrored the gorgeous scenery. This spot, often referred to as “Mirror Lake,” truly lived up to its name that day. The entire mountain range was reflected in the water, creating a surreal backdrop for their engagement photos in the mountains.
The landscape in mid-October was painted in vibrant autumn hues, with rich browns and oranges blending harmoniously with the rocky walls of the Hochkönig in the background. It was heartwarming to see how much the newly engaged couple appreciated the stunning scenery and how deeply in love they were.
Sheena proudly showed us her beautiful engagement ring, which, of course, became a feature in some of the engagement photos.
Even though the setting by the Mirror Lake was already dreamlike, we continued our hike to the summit. At the top, we were rewarded with a spectacular 360° panorama. The peaks of the surrounding mountains were already dusted with snow, and the valley below glowed with the lights of evening.
Engagement Photos in the Mountains
For this second magical location, the couple had even brought a change of outfit. We took advantage of the incredible scenery in every direction to create a variety of photos, giving the couple a wide selection of engagement pictures to treasure.
As the sun set and darkness began to settle, we brought out our lanterns for a few final, unique photos in the blue light of twilight. The mood during the blue hour always feels especially magical for couples’ photos, and we love making the most of the fading daylight before switching on our headlamps for the hike back to the valley.
