The day began quietly, while it was still dark outside Michelle & Jimmy where already up in their hotel and got ready for their wedding adventure – a Helicopter Elopement in the Dolomites.
While the makeup artist Ulli Thomaseth was styling Michelle, Jimmy used the time to write his vows. Excitement filled the air — and for good reason. This wasn’t going to be an ordinary wedding day but an epic Helicopter Elopement in the Dolomites.
Before sunrise, they boarded a helicopter that lifted off into the misty dawn. As the aircraft climbed higher, they broke through the clouds, and the world below disappeared under a soft white blanket. The first light of the day painted the surrounding peaks in a magical alpenglow — fiery orange and pink hues dancing across the mountain tops. It felt like the world was waking up just for them.

High up in the Dolomites, surrounded by endless peaks and untouched silence, they exchanged their vows. Personal, emotional, unforgettable. The moment they slipped the rings onto each other’s fingers, the first sun rays of the day, rose behind the mountains — flooding the entire landscape in golden light. It was as if nature itself was celebrating with them. ✨
After the ceremony, the soft morning glow created the perfect light for romantic portraits to celebrate the special moments after their intimate elopement ceremony in the Dolomites. The atmosphere was peaceful and surreal — the kind of beauty that takes your breath away and makes you forget the world for a while.
To warm up, they took a short sightseeing flight, soaring over the dramatic peaks before landing again — in the middle of the mountains, high above the clouds. With a bottle of champagne, they celebrated their Helicopter Elopement in the Dolomites, toasting to love and adventure. A cozy breakfast picnic followed, complete with a game of chess, something they had played many times in the last years they spent together.
Later, the helicopter carried them back down into the valley, where their next adventure awaited.
When we started planning their day, they told us they want to include something out of their comfort zone, as a symbol that they can do anything together. Especially as Michelle isn’t to comfortable with heights, a tandem paraglide flight through the incredible Dolomites scenery, was a great combination of adrenalin rush, and enjoying epic sceneries. Floating silently through the air, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and bright alpine meadows, it was the perfect continuation of their Helicopter Elopement in the Dolomites.
Wedding Photos at Lago di Braies
The day continued with a visit to one of the Dolomites’ most iconic locations — Lago di Braies. A beautifully decorated wooden boat was waiting for them at the wooden dock on the turquoise-blue water. They opened another bottle of champagne and paddled across the lake, surrounded by the stillness of the impressive mountains.
In true “them” fashion, they chose to balance all that elegance with something simple and real — pizza, fries, and a cold beer for lunch. A reminder that luxury can mean different things, and the best moments are the ones that feel authentic.
As the afternoon light softened, they took a slow walk along the lakeshore. Where we found the perfect spot for their wedding cake picnic.
Michelle surprised Jimmy with a personal engraved box, filled with all the letters and cards they had exchanged over the years. They sat together, reading a few of them, laughing, and soaking in the quiet joy of the moment.

Before sunset, they drove up a nearby mountain pass. Fog started to roll in, wrapping the peaks in mystery and giving the landscape a magical, cinematic feel. Hidden glimpses of the mountains appeared through the mist, each one more breathtaking than the last.
And there — surrounded by fog, silence, and the fading light — they shared their first dance.
No audience, but nature — just the two of them, celebrating love in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Victoria & Fabian delivered both our sneak peak and full gallery incredibly quick. Each and every photo is so beautiful. They captured so much of the beauty of the landscape while keeping us the focal point. They captured beautiful, genuine moments that I didn’t even notice them shooting. The pictures are so crisp and make us feel like we’re back in that moment. Their incredible talent gave us breathtaking photos of all the dynamic aesthetics of our day – the stunning golden sunrise, the sunny boat ride, the casual in-between moments, the moody first dance wrapped in a cloud.
