A Beautiful Wedding at Rössl Alm in Zillertal

Rössl Alm in Zillertal is among our favorites regarding traditional yet modern venues for a destination wedding in the mountains in Austria. The terrace’s view of the breathtaking mountain panorama provides a perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The hut is spacious enough to celebrate and dance with all your friends and relatives until the early morning.
Kinsey and Patrick were also captivated by this unique mountain hut in the Tyrolean mountains. They invited all their friends and family to visit Austria and celebrate their destination wedding in the mountains.
Kinsey and Patrick live in Canada, but since a part of Patrick’s family lives in Austria, they invited all their friends and family to join them in celebrating an unforgettable event amidst the Austrian Alps. In an idyllic village in Zillertal, guests from around the world gathered for a get-together. The dress code was traditionally Austrian, and the guests made a real effort to dress up in dirndls and lederhosen.
There were fun games, emotional speeches, drinks, food, and dancing – the perfect start to the wedding festivities in the Austrian mountains.
Destination Wedding in the Mountains in Austria
The next morning, preparations were in full swing for the destination wedding in the mountains in Austria.
Kinsey got beautifully styled while Patrick finished writing his vows, and the last details for the afternoon ceremony were prepared.
Even before the ceremony, there were some truly special and emotional moments. For example, when Kinsey’s father saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. After the “First Look” with her father, the beautiful bride surprised her parents with embroidered handkerchiefs as a gift, which were immediately inaugurated to dab away the tears of joy.
By now, all the guests had arrived at Rössl Alm and were just waiting for the bride to start the ceremony. The breathtaking mountain panorama that presented itself to us from the terrace offered an impressive backdrop for the wedding ceremony, and Patrick eagerly awaited the moment to embrace his bride finally. The moment down the aisle on her father’s arm, and the two saw each other for the first time that day, was truly special.
During the wedding ceremony, all the guests were captivated by the beautiful words. A highlight was their self-written vows to each other, which brought laughter and tears not only to them but also to everyone present. When it was finally announced, “You may now kiss the bride,” Patrick didn’t hesitate and sealed the ceremony with an epic kiss that looked like it came from a movie. The beautiful mountain backdrop, the lovingly decorated wedding arch, and the happy couple made all the guests smile.
After the congratulations and some group and family photos, we explored the beautiful surroundings around Rössl Alm for wedding photos in Zillertal. The impressive mountains provided the perfect backdrop for romantic bridal photos.
Meanwhile, the guests were entertained by a Tyrolean Schuplattler group performing traditional dances. When the bridal couple rejoined the guests, they were also encouraged to participate in the show. Everyone was in a great mood, joining in on the fun, and there was dancing, laughter, and lively celebration already in the afternoon.
As dusk began to fall, everyone entered Rössl Alm, where all the tables were lovingly decorated for the wedding dinner. After an emotional speech by the bridal couple, it was time for the delicious dinner, allowing everyone to recharge before the real party started.
The couple’s parents and best friends also surprised the newlywed couple with emotional speeches, making the evening a truly special experience.
As the finale of the feast, Kinsey and Patrick cut the dreamy wedding cake on the terrace. In line with the traditional Austrian theme of the destination wedding in the mountain at Rössl Alm, there was also Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancake) as dessert. The international guests were all delighted by this sweet Tyrolean specialty.
Afterward, it was time for the bridal couple to open the dance floor. Kinsey and Patrick ushered in the last part of the evening with a beautiful waltz, followed by dances with their parents. As soon as the official dances were over, all the guests flooded onto the dance floor, and the atmosphere was fantastic, just like it had been all day.
Kinsey changed into a short party dress to join the celebration even more enthusiastically. All the guests danced, laughed, and celebrated until the early morning. It was an unforgettable party amidst the Tyrolean mountains, with guests coming from all corners of the world to celebrate this special day with Kinsey and Patrick. Everyone was thrilled with the mountain landscape of the Alps, Tyrolean hospitality, and how well all the guests got along, even though many had met for the first time that day. With Rössl Alm, Kinsey and Patrick found the perfect venue for their destination wedding in the mountains in Austria.
The entire celebration was simply wonderfully beautiful, and we are confident all the guests will long remember this wedding.
