Most couples wish for clear blue skies and sunshine for their engagement photos on the Lofoten Islands in Norway. Not Paige and Claire – they wrote to us in their first message that they love rainy weather and storms and were open to any kind of weather. Traveling to Northern Norway in the fall comes with the expectation of unpredictable weather, ranging from pleasantly warm temperatures with beautifully golden autumn light to rain and snow, all in one day. Luckily, all our photography equipment is suitable for all weather conditions, and we can even photograph in rain and storms.
The light mood was absolutely beautiful when we met Paige and Claire at the beach. A few scattered sunbeams broke through the cloud cover, creating a magical atmosphere.
We adore the combination of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and the striking mountain peaks rising directly from the fjord in the Lofoten Islands in Norway. There are countless breathtaking locations and just as many perfect photo backdrops for unique engagement photos in nature.
It was Paige and Claire’s first time in Norway, and, like us several years ago, they immediately fell in love with the landscape here in the Lofoten Islands. The setting was truly perfect for the engagement photos of these two special women, and we had been looking forward to this beach photoshoot for a long time.
To ensure they got diverse engagement photos, we drove to another beach after some time, which, on clear days, offers a fantastic view of the sunset. When we arrived, the clouds grew darker, and after a few minutes, it started raining. Fortunately, we were all prepared for any weather, and since Paige and Claire love rainy weather anyway, it was fitting that they got some romantic engagement photos in the rain.
Since they were already wet from the rain until the end, we concluded the engagement photoshoot in the Lofoten Islands in the cold water of the sea. It was the perfect ending for the unique engagement photos in the Lofoten Islands, Norway.
Engagement photoshoots are always so much fun and create valuable memories for the future. The time before the wedding often passes too quickly, and amid all the planning and excitement, it’s even more beautiful when you take the time together for such special moments.
We are continually amazed at how well nature and the weather cooperate in each engagement photoshoot. Especially on unpredictable days, unique lighting conditions often emerge, making the photos unique.
